Launched at Badminton today, the British Grooms Association (BGA) promises support and advice for grooms across all equestrian disciplines. It also aims to improve their profile as professionals.
“I’m excited finally to be launching the BGA after years of planning,” said executive director Lucy Katan, a former international dressage groom. “We’ve had so much support from sponsors and the industry.”
The joining fee is £17.50, and members’ benefits include 10% discount at Derby House Saddlery plus a £10 voucher; special rates for personal accident insurance with South Essex Insurance Brokers; a legal advice hotline; a quarterly membership magazine, and 35% discount off a subscription to H&H, HORSE or Eventing.
