Sir John Gilmour, former master and huntsman of the Fife died on 10 February after a short illness, aged 68.
Sir John was master from 1973-2003, during which time he hunted hounds for 12 seasons.
For 43 years Sir John was point-to-point secretary and the hunt’s point-to-points were hosted at his home Balcormo, where he organised the events, built the course and even rode in races.
He was chairman of the northern area point-to-point committee, a former
Scottish area chairman of the Master of Foxhounds Association and was a steward at race meetings.
A memorial service will be held at Largo and Newburn Church, Upper Largo, on Friday, 1 March at 2pm
