Laura Collett, 17, put up an impressive display to win the CIC** at the Jackson Buildings Osberton Horse Trials with the diminutive 15.1hh gelding Opposition Legacy. She also finished fourth with Rayef.
Emily Baldwin and Drivetime finished second ahead of Polly Jackson with Caunton Well Done. The fastest time of the day secured fifth for the flying grey Tek Time, ridden by Charlotte Greenlees. Matthew Wright was sixth on Be My Guest II.
Izzy Taylor won open intermediate section J with Welton Fleetway, while Nick Turner won the other open intermediate with his rerouted Badminton partner Rongotai.
John and Janet Breretons Sunny Boy won intermediate section H in the hands of Paul Sims. Emily Galbraith and Crown Alliance took the under-21 open intermediate section. The remaining intermediate section went to Chloe Newton and General Greenfont.
Claire Lomas suffered spinal injuries in a freak accident while riding Rolled Oats II in intermediate section E. The fall happened towards the end of the track when Claire hit a tree. She was taken to hospital by air ambulance.
