Irish event rider Jane O’Flynn, who suffered a serious fall at the Richill CIC in Co Armagh last week, is “critical but stable” in hospital in Belfast.
She sustained serious head injuries as well as broken ribs, cracked vertebrae and and a punctured lung in the accident, and is currently unable to breathe without the aid of a ventilator.
From Co Kildare, Jane is one of Ireland’s most successful eventers, and finished best of the Irish in 20th place at last year’s World Equestrian Games with Kilnadeema Star.
