Burnham plans pre-Badminton challenge

Norfolk’s popular pre-Badminton fixture adds advanced section to fill gap left by Dynes Hall’s demise
Burnham Market horse trials in Norfolk is to run an advanced section from April 2003 in a bid to become the biggest pre-Badminton fixture.
With the demise of the popular Dynes Hall event formerly held at the end of April, there is a clear gap for providing four-star horses with a run before the big event.
Organisers Alec Lochore and Emily Thompson – both advanced competitors themselves – hope that the advanced class will attract many more riders and spectators.
Staging the event will cost around £50,000 and sponsorship is currently being sought to run from 2002-2004.
For sponsorship details, contact Sallie Blair (tel: 01283 821012).
