Equine feed manufacturer NAF sponsors 2010 Winter Dressage Championships

  • The winter dressage season promises an exciting finale next year following news that the 2010 Winter Dressage Championships will be sponsored by Natural Animal Feeds (NAF), a leading manufacturer and supplier of equine supplements.

Earlier this year NAF also announced a five-year partnership with British Eventing, launching the NAF Five Star Jump Training Series.

The NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships 2010, which will take place at Hartpury College from 7-11 April, will involve more than 800 horse and rider combinations, competing over five days of national competition.

“We are delighted to become associated with the Winter Championships,” said Tracey Lloyd, sponsorship manager of NAF. “It is without doubt one of the most prestigious competitions of the British Dressage calendar.”

The championships will feature two flagship competitions held on separate gala evenings. The Magic Prix St George Freestyle Championship will take place on Friday 9 April, followed by the Superflex Intermediare 1 Freestyle Championship held on Saturday.

“We have sponsored the prix st george freestyle for a number of years, and to now take on the overall title sponsorship gives us great pleasure,” continued Tracey.

The main classes of the competition attract elite dressage riders from around the world, promising lively entertainment for any dressage enthusiast. The championship also features classes at every level from preliminary to intermediare 1.

“Not only are we pleased to give more support to the increasingly popular discipline of dressage, but this agreement also allows us the opportunity to say thank you to many of our loyal competitors,” said Tracey.

“As such, we are greatly looking forward to being so much more involved with British Dressage and the championships.”

NAF has sponsored several equestrian events previously, including the 2009 Red Dragon Festival of Endurance, the pinnacle of which was the FEI NAF Red Dragon — a 20-day, 160km ride.
