Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas confirmed to appear at Olympia

  • Record-breaking dressage duo Edward Gal and Moorlands Totilas will be competing on British soil again this winter — at Olympia, the London International Horse Show.

The magnificent pair, who recorded a world record-breaking 90.75% in their grand prix special test at the European Dressage Championships in Windsor last month, will compete at Olympia on Tuesday 15 December.

If Edward and his nine-year-old black stallion Moorlands Totilas qualify in Tuesday’s World Cup grand prix qualifier, they will go through to the grand prix freestyle to music on Wednesday evening, 16 December. Both dressage classes are supported by Horse & Hound.

Before the freestyle to music on Wednesday, the flying Dutchman will give a masterclass on how he works with his horses in preparation for the kür.

The masterclass — for which he will not ride Moorlands Totilas — is the first Edward Gal has presented.

Edward said: “I’m really looking forward to it, and can’t wait to be back competing in the UK.”

Tickets for Olympia, the London International Horse Show (15-21 December), start at £25. For more information and to buy tickets, visit www.olympiahorseshow.com or call 0871 230 5580.
