Service stations aid Battersea rescues


  • London’s Battersea Dogs Home has launched a campaign promoting its lost pet service on petrol station forecourts

    Battersea Dogs Home is to advertise its Lost Dogs Line service, usingForecourt Television (FTV) on 365 petrol stations in the London area.

    Service stations screening the commercials include Total, Fina, elf, Esso, bp, jet, Safeway, Granada and moto.

    The 30secs adverts are running from June until September and feature six consecutive images.

    Each service station will show six transmission of the commercial every hour with an average of around 72 shown each day. It is estimated that these adverts will reach 5.5 million adults each month.

    Battersea Dogs Home spokesperson Sarah Nahome said: “We hope that these adverts will increase awareness for the Lost Dogs Line this summer, and prevent both unnecessary lost pets and panicked owners.”

    Battersea Dogs Home helps to reunite more than 45% of London’s stray cats and dogs each year. The lines are manned by staff who record details of lost pets and check them against the records of all found animals.
