    Tester’s comments

“I absolutely love my Wildwood jacket,” says tester Carol Phillips. “I think the Breezebloc wind stopper, which helps trap heat into the upper body and prevents drafts up the back of the jacket, is a brilliant idea.

“The body of the jacket is quilted which has kept me warm on frosty mornings without the need to add a fleece. And it didn’t leak when I wore it to skip out and hay a yard full of horses in horizontal rain.

“I really like the numerous of pockets, which help me keep my hands free while I’m busy on the yard, and that most are fastened with a zip. I always worry that I could lose important things, such as my keys, out of a Velcro-fastened pocket.

“The concealed hood proved useful when I got caught in a sudden downpour without my waxed hat. I found the soft cord collar really comfortable.

“Lots of people have commented on how smart the jacket looks and are amazed when I tell them the cost. I think it is just as smart as some of the more expensive winter jackets currently available.”
