Expert advice for members

Do you need expert advice from a top equine professional?

NAGS members are invited to nominate an expert and submit questions that you would like answered. You might like to ask a breeder questions for a college assignment or ask a top groom for tips a travelling horses long distances.

This is an exclusive opportunity for NAGS members only. Email your suggestions and questions to: kerry_bowness@ipcmedia.com. The experts available for NAGS “question time” will be published in a future NAGS bulletin.

Where do all the top grooms go?

Don’t miss the NAGS feature in today’s issue of Horse & Hound (24 April) where former top groom Lucy Katan talks about the problems surrounding elite grooms, their recruitment and retention in the equine industry.

Lucy, who gave a successful presentation at last month’s National Equine Forum, has undertaken research into the views of elite grooms andtheir employers on issues, including working conditions, pay and incentives.

Lucy will look at possible solutions to the problems often experienced by elite grooms in next month’s NAGS magazine feature.
