|Laughtons Silver Flash and Karen Rhodes made their 6hr trip from the Lake District to Towerlands worthwhile when heading the riding club show horse qualifier.
“It was well worth the trip!” said Karen.
Flash recently recovered from a life-threatening bout of colic after suffering an alergic reaction to some medication for a minor injury.
“He had 16 weeks off and nearly died, explained Karen.
Ciara McKibben, 16, picked up the reminaing HOYS ticket with her mother Aislinn’s 10-year-old grey gelding, Welton Archer.
“Going to HOYS is very exciting!” she said.
