If you’re wondering which horses and riders will make the final cut for the FEI World Championships Aachen 2026 eventing teams, then H&H is here to keep you abreast of all the selection news as it happens. I’ll be updating this page every time a nation announces their initial nominated entries and their final squads. To kick off here are the nominated entries and squads that have been released so far.
At the moment it is unclear how many starters there will be in the eventing at this year’s FEI World Championships, but there will be a maximum of five horse and rider combinations per nation. Teams can consist of three or four athletes. If a country has a team then they can also have one additional horse and rider compete as a individual. Countries that do not have a team can enter two combinations as individuals.

When are final team announcements for eventing?
The deadline for definite entries – that is the final squads of up to five athletes per nation, bar injury or illness – is 27 July.
How are teams selected?
Each country follows its own selection process. The British selectors take into account the results of horse and rider combinations at major competitions, as well as the difficulty of certain courses, how competitive a competition was and results at events with “field of play similarities” to a championships.
