Doncaster racecourse was named “racecourse of the year” at the Betview Awards Ceremony, held last week (2 May), for “providing the best experience for the betting and racing public”.
This was the Yorkshire racecourse’s second award in as many days, as it was named one of the top 10 racecourses in England and Wales by the Racecourse Association and VisitEngland on 1 May.
Mark Spincer, managing director of Doncaster racecourse, said: “The team set the bar high in 2012 and entered 2013 with a plethora of goals to continue to deliver truly great experiences to our leisure and business customers. Receiving these awards gives us recognition of the work we are doing, but also spurs us on to deliver a better experience on every single race day we offer.”
This year Doncaster will be Britain’s busiest turf racecourse, with 35 fixtures.
