Twenty-six-year-old Virginia (Ginny) Thompson is having to pinch herself that she is in the UK ready to compete at her first ever Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials.

“I’m trying not to think about it too much at the moment, but I’m so excited,” laughs the New Zealander. “The first time I hacked my horse here, it was totally surreal — I couldn’t believe I was riding her in the UK and I honestly believe I am living the dream.”
