Active Walero burst on to the British dressage scene in 2002 propelling Nicola McGivern into the public eye. The 11-year-old German-bred 17.1hh bay gelding was short-listed for the British dressage squad for WEG in his rider’s first year riding at international level. He also gave Nicola her first international win in the grand prix special at Hickstead CDIO in August.
