Vechta, the Dutch-bred show jumping stallion ridden by Will Funnell on British Nations Cup teams, will be spending his first full season at stud this year.

The 16.3hh Vechta, who is bred in the purple by Voltaire out of a Lucky Boy mare, was also placed in many international grand prix. He stands in Sussex andis available for the first time this year through natural covering.

“We’ve already got some lovely young stock by him. He’s got Thoroughbred blood close up in his pedigree and the foals are real quality types,” said Will.
