Sanctuary horses to be rehomed by ILPH

  • Fairways Horse Sanctuary, Glencarse, Perth has gifted its 30 horses and ponies to the ILPH.

The sanctuary, which has faced financial difficulty in the past, will close when the lease on the property expires at the end of the year.

Adam Fleming, ILPH field officer for South Scotland said: “We have worked closely with the Sanctuary Committee and are pleased that they have looked to us to help them out at this difficult time.”

“We should have no bother in re-homing the animals,” he added.

All horses and ponies are due to arrive at the ILPH’s Belwade farm at Aboyne on 5 October.
