Pony riders were out in force at the final day of the Blue Chip winter showjumping championships at Hartpury.
Beth Vernon, who broke records on Friday with her third consecutive win in the Blue Chip Pro JC/JA on Cinderella Girl, was again in winning form.
On this occasion, she landed the TAG66 sapphire championship with the promising Zirina IV.
Tight, angled turns on this talented mare earned the title from the front of the 11-pony jump-off by one and half sec.
“The HOYS newcomers final is my big aim for this year” said Beth.
The last round of the last class claimed the TAG66 coral championship.
Jordan Lye and Millie May prevented Saturday’s newly-crowned pony discovery champion Joshua Hutchins from taking a second title with Charlie XIII.
“I felt the pressure” said Jordan, 15, “but Millie is just amazing, and we took out a stride to the last fence.”
