Championship experience: William has represented Britain on numerous Nations Cup squads, and made his international championship debut at last year’s European Championships. He was short listed for the Athens Olympics but an injury to Mondriaan ruled them out of contention.
Recent form
Cortaflex Mondriaan has hit peak form at just the right time for the World Equestrian Games after undergoing emergency colic surgery in December last year. William pulled off a historic double at the British Jumping Derby meeting to take the Hickstead Derby and the Derby Trial, before producing a solid Nations Cup performance at the Royal International to help Britain to a Samsung Super League win. Mondriaan and William have been together for many years (they were Horse & Hound Foxhunter Champions in 2001) and know each other inside out.
