James Davenport wins grand prix in Belgium

British show jumper James Davenport rode Martin Dawes’s For Fun into equal first place in the grand prix in the first show of Belgium’s Lummen Spring Tour last weekend.

Cheshire-based Davenport was one of 20 who made the jump-off, in which he and Swiss team rider Werner Muff (Pilot Blue) set exactly the same time.

As well as the E4,500 (£3,050) prize, James Davenport received an invitation to compete at Lummen’s Nations Cup show at the end of June.
