Irish World Cup qualifier gets go ahead

  • Following six frantic days of telephone calls, meetings and urgent discussions, the Irish World Cup qualifier will go ahead at Millstreet (1-5 November).

Last week, Green Glens Arena director Thomas Duggan pulled the plug on the qualifier afterthe Irish Sports Council withdrew its traditional funding.

However, this week, after urgent discussions with the FEI, Irish federation and SJAI officials, the World Cup qualifier was put back into the schedule, much to the relief of international riders and owners, plus Irish TV stations and Eurosport, who will now go live on air.
