Hickstead team supports Comic Relief

Locals enjoying a night outin several pubs in West Sussex last Friday (14 March) were treated to a surprise “showbiz” event as a team of organisers from Hickstead’s All England Jumping Course lent their support to Comic Relief.

The Hickstead team, including show secretary Lizzie Bunn dressed as a Whoppy Goldberg lookalike and equine dentist Duncan Gipson (an angel), entertained pub visitors with their own version of Norman Greenbaum’s classic Spirit In The Sky, currently at number one with Gareth Gates.

The 14 members of the team raised more than a few smiles, plus £500 for Comic Relief and their memorable performance was captured on camera for HHO.

“It was great fun,” said Lizzie, “we were pushed into several encores!”
