Hickstead has negotiated TV coverage of the Royal International Horse Show and Derby meetings with Meridian in 2001 and will not be approaching the BBC, Hickstead’s Lizzie Bunn has confirmed.The Corporation, which has a steady track record of dropping equestrian sport, cut the RIHS out of its schedule last year.Meanwhile, the British Equestrian Federation is to attempt to lobby the BBC collectively, in an attempt to reverse the trend.Read full story Horse & Hound issue dated 9 November.
