The funeral of Gilly Tatlow this afternoon (9 March) was attended by nearly 300 members of the showing and hunting community. Gilly, wife of top showman David, died two weeks ago aged just 58.
At the service at St Mary’s Church Preston-on-Stour, Warwicks, David shared some of his own memories of Gilly.
“It was a beautiful spring day and a wonderful occasion – a celebration of her life,” said Nigel Hollings, who has written Gilly’s obituary (to be published in a future issue of Horse & Hound). “The whole hunting and showing world was there – it was like a Who’s Who, a real tribute to Gilly.”
