Ponies (UK) on the move
21 January 2002
The Ponies (UK) 2002 Winter Championships will take place at a new venue this year
The Ponies (UK) 2002 Winter Championships will take place at The College EC at Keysoe, Beds, on 19-21 April.
The show, which includes the society’s M&M in-hand, ridden and working hunter winter finals, plus the Mirage Show Hunter Pony and Downland Smuggler Working Hunter Pony Winter Championships, has moved from Arena UK in Grantham.
“It has always been difficult to find a venue which can cope with an event as large as our Winter Championships in a central location,” explained Ponies (UK) chairman, Davina Whiteman.
“The College EC is a fabulous venue, but we have beenforced to significantly reduce the number of open classes to ensure all competitors can compete on a surface which is up to Ponies (UK)’s standards. This means some competitors will travel long distances to compete in just one class, which is unfortunate.”
Schedules are available to download from www.poniesuk.org and entries close on Friday 30 March.
