Great news for Welsh enthusiasts

The first ever National Welsh Pony and Cob and Part-bred Championship Show will be held at the Shropshire and West Midland showground, Shrewsbury, on 3 August.

In addition to 10 in-hand classes each for sections A, B, C, D and Welsh part-bred horses and ponies, there will be riding, driving and dressage – 108 classes in all.

The highlight will be the New London Gold Supreme In-Hand Championship with a £250 first prize for each of the five sections, sponsored by Kath and Angelo Panayiotou of the Kallistalodge Stud, Bucks.

To qualify, animals will have been champions or reserves at a show nominated by each of the 30 Welsh Pony and Cob Associations.

Entries close on 12 July and schedules can be obtained from Lorraine Partridge (tel: 01633 482365) or visit: www.welshpartbredpony.com
