  • A new design to help prevent mud fever and safeguard against knocks and bangs is being launched

Equilibrium is launching the Equi-Chap designed to help protect against mud fever and safeguard against knocks and bangs.

Made from Stomatex, a tough breathable material, it is designed to cover the horse’s hoof and heel. The product extends up to the knee and is secured by strong “touch and stick” fasteners. The manufacturers claim that it is virtually impossible for mud to get in and make contact with the skin.

Equi-Chaps are also ideal for use as a turnout boot, or for hacking helping to protect against brushing and over-reach injuries.

Easy to fit, they are machine-washable and available in five different sizes.

Cost at around £50 a pair.

Equilibrium Equi-Chaps are available to order now direct from Equilibrium products and will be available in tackshops from 10 December. For more information contact Equilibrium (tel: 01442 828228) or click here to visit
