WEG gets rebranded

  • The World Equestrian Games (WEG) will be called FEI Games as of 2010. The name change is designed to clarify the Federation Equestrian International’s (FEI) ownership of the competition. A new Unicorn star logo has been designed to mark the new identity.

The Unicorn star constellation consists of eight stars to indicate the eight different FEI disciplines.

WEG’s new name and logo will not be used until after the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen, in preparation for the 2010 Games in Kentucky.

“We are proud to initiate this exciting new brand identity for the FEI Games 2010 in Kentucky,” said John Nicholson, Executive Director of the Kentucky Horse Park.
According to the FEI, the main objectives for the new name and logo were to clarify their ownership of the competition and to enhance its marketability by means of a user-friendly identity.
