Watershed moves into equestrian public relations

  • Watershed, an established and award-winning public relations consultancy based in Dorset, has moved into equestrian PR with the appointment of former British dressage young rider team member, Beth Morgan.

Beth has competed internationally at young rider level and ridden to grand prix. On the PR front, she is an experienced brand development manager with a wealth of expertise gained working with household names.

Beth (pictured centre) will be working alongside the business founder and principal, Sara Hudston (pictured right), and account executive Abigail Perry (pictured left), in Watershed’s equestrian venture.

“We all ride and horses are our passion,” explains Beth. “This is an opportunity to combine our specialist knowledge and professional skills to get great results for our clients.

“The equestrian sector is huge in the South West and it has weathered the recession well. We think this is a growth market.”

The new division is being supported by international dressage rider Hannah Biggs.

Hannah says: “‘I’m really happy to support Watershed with the launch of its equestrian division. Watershed links up riders with sponsors and promotes partnership. It’s really hard to continue competing at the top without sponsorship. Sponsors need to get publicity so that they continue supporting British talent.”

Watershed represents a range of clients across the South West, including the Royal Bath & West Show and Dorset County Show.
