US driver leads World Cup series

  • New international indoor driving World Cup for four-in-hand drivers proves popular

Chester Weber of the USA won the second competition of the new FEI driving World Cup series in Stockholm, Sweden.

He is leading the points table with 15 points , after coming third in the inaugural event at Stockholm, which was won by Germany’s Michael Freund.

This series, which is open to the top 10 drivers on the world rankinglist, consists of qualifiers at eight top-class indoor international shows throughout the winter season.

The course is made up of two marathon-type obstacles, plus a bridge and around 10 cone obstacles, judged against the clock. Each driver’s best four results will count, with the overall points leader becoming World Cup champion at the end of the season.
