Trainer Jim Boyle hosts ex-racers lecture demo

Epsom trainer Jim Boyle is running a lecture demo on retraining racehorses featuring Olympics-bound event rider Constantin Van Rijckevorsel.

Jim will show the transition using horses at different stages, with a session using horses fresh from racing, one working on the flat, and one over jumps.

Constantin, who rides for Belgium, has finished in the top 10 at two Olympic Games and won three European bronze medals. He has qualified for London 2012 on an Australian ex-racehorse, Our Vintage.

The lecture demo will take place the Diamond Centre, Woodmansterne Road, Carshalton, Surrey SM5 4DT at 7pm on 23 June.

Tickets cost £10, to be purchased in advance.
