Want to work at H&H? Temporary editorial assistant vacancy

  • Would you like to work at Horse & Hound? We have a temporary vacancy for an editorial assistant, starting on Thursday, 14 January.

The position involves processing freelance payments, answering telephone queries, co-ordinating our team chasing, Pony Club and contents pages, plus other administrative tasks.

There are also opportunities to contribute ideas and write for both our magazine and website.

The successful candidate should have an interest in journalism, strong administrative and organisational skills, plus a good phone manner and some experience in the horseworld. We are looking for someone who knows how to muck out and is willing to muck in!

This would be a great position for someone looking to gain experience on Britain’s leading equestrian weekly magazine and website.

The job is initially until the end of February, based at our central London offices (SE1 0SU), but there may be the option to extend. H&H is moving offices to Farnborough, Hampshire at the end of February or during March, so a willingness to work in the new offices after the move would be useful.

Please apply by sending your CV and a covering letter to our acting print director Pippa Roome (pippa.roome@timeinc.com).

The closing deadline is Monday, 4 January and we plan to hold interviews during that week.
