Students invited to farriery symposium at Stoneleigh

  • A one-day symposium on “Farriery: the art and its use in the treatment of lameness” is being held by the Worshipful Company of Farriers.

Experts Roger Clark, Simon Curtis and Ben Ryder-Davies will be discussing topics including the essentials of foot-trimming and shoe-making, as well as the use of farriery in the treatment of lameness.

The symposium is aimed at veterinary students, although farriers — in particular, farriery apprentices — are welcome to attend.

The symposium will be held on Saturday, 1 March at The Forge, National Agricultural Centre in Stoneleigh, Warwickshire. Tel: 01394 380083
