Stolen pony The Pickpocket returns home thanks to H&H readers

  • A Warwickshire woman has been reunited with her stolen pony — and she believes it’s all due to Horse & Hound.

Helen Locke appealed to H&H readers after her graded coloured pony stallion The Pickpocket was taken from her yard in Barlestone overnight on 29-30 December.

His picture appeared in H&H last week and the calls started coming in on Saturday night.
The Pickpocket was eventually traced to a field in Ashby-de-la-Zouch.

“Helen is absolutely delighted,” said her husband David. “We had advertised his disappearance on loads of websites but it wasn’t until he was in Horse & Hound that we got anywhere. We want to say a big thank you to the readers.”
