Stallion fetches £80,000

  • The top price of FF800,000 (£80,000) was achieved at the recent NASH (Normandy Auction for Sport Horses) sale held in St-Lo, France.

An anonymous buyer secured the three-year-old Selle Francais stallion Jivaro Du Rouet, who was the winner of his stallion grading section the day before and who also gained the highest overall mark of the four grading sections.

Jivaro – by Vas Y Donc Longane, a son of Grand Veneur, sire of the international show jumper Le Tot De Semilly – is out ofMilady Du Rouet, dam of Quatoubet and Caloubet, also from the same family as the three-times World Champion Baloubet Du Rouet.

Approximately 150 lots came under the hammer over three days of sales held following the stallion grading.
