SHIRES Equestrian has extended its support of British Eventing (BE) as title sponsor of the British Pre-Novice Championships.
Shires, a leading equestrian brand, has been involved with eventing for three years, having sponsored the Wales and West Eventers’ League.
Next season its sponsorship will cover BE’s largest competitor base, pre-novice.
Marcus Cridland, marketing director of Shires Equestrian, said: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Pre-Novice Championships in 2008. We feel that supporting horses and riders at this level is essential to the success of what has to be one of the most demanding equestrian sports.”
The Pre-Novice final is BE’s youngest championship that has only been running for two years. It does, however, involve the largest number of riders with around 2,000 eligible to compete at one of 12 regional finals in a bid to reach the championship at Aston-le-Walls next August.
