Scottish charity needs more land to keep rescued horses

  • A Scottish animal welfare charity is appealing for more land after five horses escaped from a temporary paddock.

Glendrick Roost Welfare Centre in Falkirk had a call on Monday to say five of their charges were grazing outside a newsagent’s shop.

The horses had escaped from an electric-taped makeshift field in the early hours of the morning.

Now the centre is appealing for a local landowner to sell it a suitable piece of land on which to keep the horses.
