Scottish borders celebrate the horse

The British Horse Society (BHS) Borders Festival of the Horse takes place in Scotland from 18-28 May.

Now in its sixth year, the festival takes in 40 events including a safety demo by the Lothian and Borders police and a polo match.

It also incorporates the Floors Castle International Horse Trials (19-20 May), the Kelso race meeting (23 May) and a sponsored ride through Balmoral Estate (26 May).
