Rosette launched to commemorate royal wedding
As royal wedding fever sweeps the nation, a limited-edition rosette has been unveiled to celebrate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton tomorrow (29 April).
The rosette, from UK Rosettes, is 9in wide, 2ft long and is encrusted with diamante. It can be made in any colour ribbon you choose and features a real horseshoe — a racing plate. There’s also a range of smaller wedding rosettes.
Caroline Marsh from UK Rosettes sent the designs to Buckingham Palace and, though they are not under Royal Approval, they have been permitted and can be made until October.
“I just wanted to do something a little bit different and fun,” said Caroline. “We’ve had a great response so far — a number of the huge ones have been ordered and a lot of people want the smaller ones, for street parties and schools, for example. I’d like to watch the wedding, but I won’t be going up to London — it will be manic.”
The 2ft rosettes cost £29.99 and the smaller ones are priced from £2.99-£3.99.
