Ride a mechanical horse at Plumpton College
Plumpton College in East Sussex will be holding its annual open day on Saturday, 12 May.
The agricultural college’s stables will be open and, as well as watching equestrian displays, there will be a chance to have a go on the yard’s mechanical horse.
The dog grooming unit will be offering pampering sessions and wine connoisseurs will get the chance to sample offerings from Plumpton’s own vineries.
The more adventurous can tackle Plumpton’s climbing wall and have a go at clay pigeon shooting.
Guided nature walks, falconry displays, trade stands and a fun dog show make for an action-packed day.
Entry is free for the under-16s, with adult tickets costing £5; £3 for OAPs.
