Semen from the Olympic silver medal winning stallion, Silvano N, will now be available from Brookhouse Stud in Germany
Ellen Bontje’s Dutch Olympic team silver medallist, Silvano N, will be standing alongside Wie Weltmeyer, Arkibal, Di Caprio and Furstenreich at Brookhouse Stud, the German-based semen distribution centre owned by British dressage rider Emma Hindle and Thomas Hoffman.
Silvano, who was recently bought by Paul Schockem”hle after the stallions at the Im Niedern Stud came up for sale, is just one of several new stallions at Brookhouse.
The stud has also bought the five-year-old Don Schufro son, Diamond Hit, second in the recent Bundeschampionat, as well as the established Trakehner stallion Heuriger, Renegade, the last approved son of Ramiro, and Chequille, by Caratino Z, who was the winning stallion at the testing at Neustadt Dosse this year.
The senior riding stallions will be based at Conrad Schumacher’s yard, with whom Emma is based.
“Conrad has been very supportive,” said Emma. “The plan is now for Silvano to continue with Ellen.”
The English agent for Brookhouse Stud is Dr Marc Auerbach of the Oak Equine Veterinary Surgery in Chelmsford, Essex.
