Horse & Hound exceeds 50,000 fans on facebook

Horse & Hound is celebrating exceeding 50,000 fans on facebook, with an additional 10,000 individuals registering their support during the past two months.

“I’m delighted with the growth of our facebook community,” says H&H website editor, Carol Phillips. “Facebook offers us a great opportunity to extend our reach within the equestrian community and engage with individuals who might not otherwise be familiar with our brand.”

Facebook users who ‘Like’ Horse & Hound get breaking equestrian news, fabulous competitions, fun quizzes, special reader offers and more, automatically posted on their ‘wall’.

They can also share their favourite news stories and features on the H&H website with their ‘friends’ by clicking the ‘Like’ button on the bottom of news stories.

“As our community has grown, we have introduced popular facebook-only competitions for our facebook followers,” explains Carol. “These allow us to offer great prizes to our readers which don’t reach our minimum prize fund for the magazine or the website.”
