Event horses to be sold in Brightwells “Stars of the Future sale”

  • A new “Select Event Horse Auction” has been launched by auctioneers Brightwells.

Event horses will be sold at the Brightwells “Stars of the Future sale” for the first time, along with dressage and showjumpers. This year’s sale will be at Addington Manor on 1-3 December.

“We are keen to introduce a number of quality event prospects to this prestigious sale, which has seen horses such as Happy Times, Wish Upon A Star and DHI Mighty Dwight sold in our dressage and showjumping sections,” said Richard Botterill, auctioneer and organiser of the sales.

“The Stars of the Future sale is very well established and will provide an excellent platform to promote and sell quality event horses.”

Brightwells will stage a selection day for UK entries at Addington Manor, in Buckinghamshire, on Tuesday 11 October for prospective entries.

The sale will include delquality ridden event horses, which have competed with success, as well as a limited number of three-year-olds who will be assessed by loose jumping.

All horses accepted will require X-rays that will be evaluated by Brightwells vets.
