BRC competitions to re-start

  • Following a meeting the BRC’s Executive Committee agreed that all competitions and qualifiers should re-start across the country.

After a meeting held last month, the British Riding Clubs’ (BRC) executive committee has decided to re-start all competitions and qualifiers. All competitions will be run under current DEFRA guidelines and entries will not be taken by members living or horses stabled in infected areas.

A spokesperson from DEFRA said: “Infected areas will see a restriction on animal movement. For everyone else disinfecting of vehicles and feet should continue as it was during earlier outbreaks.”

The HORSE magazine Novice Indoor Show Jumping Championships will now take place on 6-7 October at Addington Equestrian Centre. If your area is yet to hold a qualifier, contact the BRC office to find out the new date.

The South Essex Insurance Brokers Quadrille Selection Trial will now take place on Friday 5 October, with the final being held at Olympia. A final decision on the Dressage to Music Championships will be made at a later date.
