The search is on to find Britain’s best young instructor. Potential candidates will be selected at 10 qualifiers across the country and the finals will take place on 26 October at Warwickshire College. The winner of the BHS Young Instructor of the Year will receive training grants to help further their education.
Suitable applicants will be under 30 years old, on the Register of Instructors, BHS qualified to any level, and should possess the ability to move onto the next level of qualification. They will need to fill out an application form and complete an equine CV.
The workshops will take place across Britain between May and September this year. Eight applicants, selected from their CV’s, will be invited to each workshop and they will all be lead by a Fellow of the BHS.
The workshops are designed to be an educational experience as well as selection process. Selected attendees will pay £25 to attend the workshop and written feedback will be supplied for all attendees.
Entries close on 13 April. For more information instructors can contact Sally Grimes at the BHS Training Department (tel: 01926 707799) or training@bhs.org.uk.
