Ben Maher and Kathleen Baker tie the knot
Olympic show jumper Ben Maher has tied the knot with his girlfriend Kathleen Baker.
The pair were married in church, followed by a lavish reception at Gosfield Hall in Essex, yesterday (Thursday 3 September).
Among the 200 guests were show jumpers Tim Stockdale, Geoff Billington, Louise and Joanne Whitaker, performance manager Derek Ricketts and former H&H show jumping editor Kerry Bowness.
The pair departed this morning (Friday 4 September) for their honeymoon in Paris, which was a surprise for Kathleen.
“I had no idea what to pack, Ben just told me to bring a couple of nice dresses,” she said.
But the newlyweds are only going for a couple of days as they have to be back for Calgary [the Spruce Meadows Masters] on 9 September.
