A one-year-old boy in Australia has died after being kicked by a horse.
The child from Tasmania, was visiting his grandmother at her property near Melbourne at the weekend.
The accident occurred at about 6pm on Sunday (13 December).
The boy is reported to have crawled under a fence and approached a horse, who began kicking out.
He was struck in the chest and suffered severe internal injuries.
Despite six paramedics performing resusitation for half an hour the boy died at the scene.
Police are treating the incident as a fatal accident.
