Amateur riders to have the chance to ride at Blenheim Horse Trials

  • Amateur riders will have the opportunity to compete at Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials this year (9-12 September), one of the most prestigious events on the eventing calendar.

For the second consecutive year, an Eventer Challenge, specifically for Pony Club and Riding Club teams, will be run alongside the famous CIC***.

“Last year we ran a new format Eventer Challenge competition for the first time,” said Sally Clarke, event secretary and organiser of the Eventer Challenge.

“It was hugely successful and we had such a large number of entries.

“We have since been looking at how we can give more riders the chance to be involved in a similar competition.

“We are hoping to offer a similar competition on the Sunday for British Eventing members.”

As well as the Eventer Challenge, the popular eight and nine-year-old CIC***, which was introduced in 2009, will also take place, providing cross-country action on both Saturday and Sunday.

The event will also feature a range of demonstrations and displays, and a wealth of trade stands and shops.
