Joanne Pitt, British paradressage rider


  • Joanne Pitt is a grade II para rider, born in 1979 in Aberdeenshire with right-sided hemiplegic cerebral palsy, causing no feeling in the right side of the body.

    She got her own pony aged eight and she went on to study horse management, achieving her BHS Stage One.

    Joanne’s dressage career quickly excelled and she competed at Athens in 2004, finishing eighth.

    After taking reserve at Beijing in 2008 Joanne won team gold and individual paradressage bronze at the 2010 World European Games in Kentucky.

    Joanne currently competes two loan horses, Estralita and Rocadro and hopes to be selected for the London 2012 games with Estralita.
