Tony Wright appeal adjourned

  • The appeal of Tony Wright, the first huntsman to be convicted of breaching the Hunting Act (2004), has been adjourned.

The Exmoor huntsman was due to launch his appeal in Exeter Crown Court on Monday (9 July), but yesterday the case was adjourned until September because no judge is currently available.

Mr Wright was convicted last August over an incident alleged to have taken place on 29 April 2005.
